InEurope.eu exists to answer a simple question: Where can I find authentic, locally-made alternatives to products from other continents?

We believe European manufacturers deserve recognition. Not just because they’re “local,” but because they often offer something genuinely different: craftsmanship, transparency, durability, and care that mass-produced imports frequently lack.

What We Do

We write transparent, fact-verified editorial articles about European brands—showcasing their stories, their products, and their values. We’re not here to sell. We’re here to help conscious consumers understand who’s behind the brands they choose.

Every brand featured on InEurope.eu:

  • ✓ Produces or designs in Europe (at least 90% of the range)
  • ✓ Receives fair representation without commercial pressure

We don’t charge brands to be featured. Zero euros. No “premium listings,” no hidden costs.

Why? Because editorial independence requires it. The moment we accept payment for basic publication, credibility disappears. Our job is to serve readers, not advertisers.

How We Sustain This

InEurope.eu is currently a mission-driven project, not a business.

Today: No revenue model. Jakob De Proft (founder) runs this because he believes it matters.

Future (2027+): We plan to introduce optional revenue streams that align with our mission:

  • Lectures & conferences on made-in-Europe topics (available for booking)
  • Paid deepdive articles (optional; basic articles remain free forever)

Any paid content will be deeper, not gated—research that goes beyond what free articles offer. It’s an option for readers who want to know more, not a requirement to learn anything.

Why We Do This

Jakob spent years as a buyer for outdoor retailers, searching for European alternatives to Asian-manufactured goods. He found brilliant brands making world-class products—but they were nearly invisible to consumers. Meanwhile, mass-market imports dominated the market. It feels like Europe has been hiding it’s SME manufacturers.

That gap bothered him. Still does.

InEurope.eu closes that gap. By connecting conscious consumers directly with transparent European makers, we:

  • Help consumers make informed choices
  • Give European manufacturers the visibility they deserve
  • Demonstrate that quality and locality can coexist
  • Build a community that values craftsmanship over convenience
