Saint Javelin Apparel from Ukraine
From stickers to world-class fleece—how a Toronto founder built purpose-driven, fully-Ukrainian-made gear supporting defenders and national resilience

“I want us to stick around long term and become a brand like Patagonia, Fjallraven, or Cotopaxi—but the key difference is that I want to make sure absolutely everything we create is made in Ukraine and supports local Ukrainian manufacturing, businesses, and their people.” — Christian Borys, Founder

What began in February 2022 as a viral social media meme—a simple sticker campaign—has evolved into one of Europe’s most purpose-driven apparel brands. Saint Javelin proves that commerce can be more than profit: it can be resilience, sovereignty, and solidarity all stitched together. Born from the conviction that supporting Ukraine means building in Ukraine, Saint Javelin is redefining what it means to be a European brand with a conscience.
BRAND INTRO
Saint Javelin was founded by Christian Borys, a Canadian-Ukrainian former journalist, in February 2022. Starting with $10 stickers featuring the “Saint Javelin” meme, the brand exploded into a global movement, evolving into a full apparel company based in Toronto and Kyiv. Now, Saint Javelin designs and manufactures high-performance outdoor clothing, accessories, and gear—from recycled war-part pins to Polartec® fleeces—entirely in Ukraine. Every product supports local Ukrainian manufacturers while funnelling proceeds to defence, humanitarian, and veteran-support organisations.
INSPIRING STORY
In early 2022, Christian Borys made a bold decision: move beyond branded merchandise (stickers, printed apparel) and commit to manufacturing real apparel—fully designed and produced in Ukraine. He visited Ukrainian factories, collaborated with manufacturers like The Sewing Brothers (Kyiv-based luxury tailors), and worked with production teams in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Dnipro to create high-performance fleece, hoodies, and outdoor gear.

You’re willing to invest in quality apparel that lasts, knowing every euro supports Ukrainian workers and businesses rebuilding through conflict.
