Most sustainable fashion brands talk transparency. Seapath actually practices it — they’ll tell you exactly who cut the fabric, who sewed the seam, and why your delivery might take a few extra days. Built by two people who would rather surf than scale, this small Portuguese label is proof that the most honest fashion doesn’t happen in boardrooms.

Brand Intro

Seapath was founded by Mário, from Portugal, and Regi, from Germany — two people bound by a shared love of the ocean, surfing, and living at a slower pace. Based in the north of Portugal, they design and sew their own garments in a small family-run workshop, working alongside a trusted local factory of twelve skilled artisans and a rotating group of freelance illustrators and artists. Every collection is produced in small batches using deadstock, organic cotton, and recycled fabrics — chosen personally by Mário and Regi at their long-standing partner supplier, Larga Imagem. Their core belief is simple: sustainable fashion is built on sustainable relationships, not volume.

Inspiring Story

The production process at Seapath reads like the opposite of a supply chain diagram. Mário and Regi personally select every roll of fabric at Larga Imagem — a partner factory run by a friend they have known for years. Cutting and initial packing happen there too, ensuring their partner benefits fairly from each order. The pieces then travel for embroidery or printing before returning to the Seapath workshop, where Mário and Regi sew every garment themselves.

InEurope.eu had the privilege of documenting this process first-hand during a factory visit to their Portuguese workshop. The visit revealed what the brand’s website already hints at: this is not slow fashion as a marketing strategy — it is a way of life. You can read the full account of that visit here: Seapath Factory Visit — InEurope.eu.

Who is this for?

You wear clothes, not brands. You would rather own three pieces that last five years than fill a wardrobe you will empty again next season. You care where your t-shirt was made — not just the label on the neck, but the actual hands that stitched it. You are drawn to ocean-inspired design without the greenwash. You appreciate craft, honest pricing, and a brand that talks to you like a neighbour rather than a customer.
