After this Ultralight Week discovery in april 2026 — Europe isn’t short on outdoor manufacturers. I found 29, bursting with micro-companies passionate about custom ultralight gear. Seven blogs already live (Weitläufer to Mytrakkinglife). April: Spotlight on almost 30 specialists! Maybe even more. With one thing in common: they make stuff that is remarkably lighter than any lightweight “standard” brand.

What I learned from this discovery, from all my communications with some of there brands… it’s passion and pleasure. These brands, the people around, they love what they do and they want to share it. They want you to have as much fun as themselves while hiking the Alps, the Pyrenees, the lake district, the Scottish Grampians and more.
