Wølpakka (trading as Wølmark Finland) was founded in 2020 by Teemu El Gato Pinomäki and Petteri Kiuru. Based in Tampere, Finland, the brand manufactures 100% of its collection in specialist knitting facilities in Lithuania. All garments are made from premium royal alpaca fibre, combining responsibly sourced Peruvian wool with Baltic manufacturing expertise. Both founders discovered alpaca through time in the Andes, where they learned how herds graze lightly, promoting soil regeneration whilst producing fibre that sustained Incan royalty for centuries. Returning to Tampere, they noticed European outdoor wardrobes relied heavily on synthetics despite alpaca’s technical superiority. Teemu and Petteri partnered with Peruvian alpaca producers and Lithuania’s long-established textile mills – some operating since the 1940s – to create featherlight, naturally breathable layers that outperform merino without chemical treatment.
