Patizon started in 2015 in the Beskydy Mountains of the Czech Republic, with one clear ambition: premium, ultralight, beautiful down sleeping bags — all made locally. Their G 400 won the Czech Outdoor Awards in 2022 and is regularly listed as one of the lightest three-season bags available in Europe. Brand Intro

Patizon 2.0 s.r.o. was founded in 2015 and is co-owned by Zdeněk Laznička and Ondřej Vacek, operating out of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The brand makes down sleeping bags and jackets using premium European goose down (RDS-certified, 850+ cuin fill power) combined with ultralight shells from Pertex™ and Toray™. Their philosophy is uncompromising: control every step of the process in-house — design, production, testing, and post-sale repair — all from their Ostrava workshop.

Inspiring Story

In 2022, in collaboration with Czech outdoor legend brand Tilak — whose founder Roman hand-stitched sleeping bags for climbers in the 1980s — Patizon co-designed the DownLite Infinium Jacket. Two Czech brands, two generations of down craftsmanship, one shared obsession with weight and warmth performance. It is the kind of collaboration that only happens when small makers with deep roots work in the same mountain culture — and it speaks volumes about Patizon’s standing in the European ultralight scene.
