Czech Outdoor Powerhouse: Tilak and Direct Alpine Unite Under Perinpe

Two leading Czech outdoor brands, Tilak and Direct Alpine, are now under the same ownership umbrella. Perinpe Outdoor a.s., a family investment fund, acquired Tilak in 2022 and brought Direct Alpine under its control in 2026. This strategic consolidation strengthens their position in European-made gear.

Brand Backgrounds

Tilak, founded in 1986 in Šumperk, produces all its apparel and footwear locally in North Moravia. Direct Alpine, launched around 1997/1998 in Liberec by Radek Nováček and Jirka Sika, saw retailer Jindřich Hudeček (Hudy Sport) raise his stake to 90% by 2018. Both emphasise 100% Czech production and quality craftsmanship.

Why This Matters for European Manufacturing

Perinpe’s move bundles these brands into a single powerhouse, preserving local jobs and supply chains. For buyers seeking Made in Europe outdoor clothing, this signals reliable sourcing from brands committed to regional production—no overseas outsourcing here. Expect potential synergies in design, distribution, and innovation.

Perfect addition for platforms like InEurope.eu promoting authentic European outdoor products.
