Most beef jerky in supermarkets is an afterthought — thin, sugary, and packed with additives. Dutch Jerky builds from a different starting point: a natural meat butcher from the Waterland region, hand-cutting and smoking every batch in-house. The result is jerky that actually tastes like meat.
Brand Intro
Dutch Jerky is a small Dutch food brand run by two founders — Max and Jasper — based in Doesburg, the Netherlands. They produce artisanal beef and pork jerky, as well as handmade dry sausages, working directly with a natural meat butcher from the Waterland region. Their philosophy is straightforward: high-quality lean beef, clean ingredients, and real smoke — no shortcuts. To produce 100 grams of jerky, they use approximately 225 grams of raw beef, resulting in a product that is 60% protein.
Inspiring Story
In August 2025, Dutch Jerky launched their “2.0” rebranding — 30 new products, 17 new jerky flavours, a new website, and new packaging. The update came directly from listening to their community: customers had been asking for more pork jerky, more bold flavours, and better resealable bags. What stands out most in their customer reviews is not the rebranding, but the handwritten thank-you card inside every single order — a small gesture that keeps people coming back.
