Most brands claim to be sustainable. Very few can tell you who, by name, sewed your shirt. Lucid Collective not only produces every garment in Belgium — they know the first name of every worker who made it. In an industry built on distance and obscurity, that kind of transparency is genuinely rare.

Brand Intro

Lucid Collective was founded by Jean Seyll, who set out to apply circular economy principles to fashion — an industry he saw as fundamentally broken. Based in Brussels (Auderghem), the brand produces all its clothing in Belgium: in adapted workshops in Hainaut employing people with disabilities, a social reintegration workshop in Brussels, and a family workshop in Flanders. Every garment is made from recycled cotton, recycled wool, or low-impact materials like linen and hemp. The entire supply chain is intentionally short, local, and traceable.

Inspiring Story

When Jean Seyll chose fashion as his sector to apply circular economy thinking, he built Lucid around five non-negotiable pillars: environmental impact, social inclusion, radical transparency, local relocation, and sustainability activism. The result is a brand where offcuts from textile production — waste that would normally be destroyed — are collected, defibred, and respun into new yarn for Lucid’s garments. In 2024, the brand won the BeCircular award, recognising its contribution to Brussels’ circular economy. French public figures Julien Doré and Hugo Clément have worn the brand — but the more telling endorsement is that Lucid can name every person who made every piece they sell.

Who is this for?

You buy less, but better. You’re tired of replacing basics every season and want clothing that genuinely lasts — in quality and in design. You care about where your clothes are made, not as an afterthought, but as a reason to buy. You want to support local employment, including people who are often excluded from the regular job market. And you want to do all of that without wearing a logo or making a statement — just wearing something honest and well-made.
