Most activewear is made by the millions, in factories no one visits, from materials no one questions. UP Clothing takes a different approach: small batches, transparent production in Portugal, and fabrics that last — not just one season. When a brand limits production to 400 units per style, that’s not a marketing trick. That’s a supply chain choice.
Brand Intro
UP Clothing — short for Universal Performance — is a UK-based activewear brand producing ethically in Portugal. Founded with the belief that performance wear shouldn’t cost the planet, the brand builds its collections in small runs of as few as 5 units per style, using recycled and organic materials. Every item is designed to perform under pressure and stay fresh longer, thanks to integrated anti-odour treatments like Polygiene and drirelease.

Inspiring Story
The philosophy, however, is publicly clear: UP set out to answer a simple question — why does activewear wear out so fast? The answer, they found, wasn’t in the training. It was in the production shortcuts. By keeping batch sizes small and maintaining close relationships with their Portuguese manufacturers, UP can monitor quality at every stage. The anti-odour technology is a direct response to a real frustration: gym kit that smells after one wear, bought again and again. UP designed clothes you’d want to wash less and keep longer.
Who is this for?
You train regularly — running, gym, yoga — and you’re tired of replacing kit every season. You care where your clothes come from, but you won’t sacrifice performance for ethics. You want activewear that moves with you, stays fresh during a long session, and doesn’t look like it came off a conveyor belt. You buy less, and expect more from every piece.
