Brand Intro

GramXpert is run by brothers Maj and Kajo from Slovenia. Dissatisfied with the overly engineered, poor-quality equipment available, Kajo began designing and crafting his own ultralight gear — quilts, backpacks, tarps, and accessories. As demand grew, brother Maj recognised a bigger mission: combining their passion for detail and versatility into a real brand. The turning point came when Kajo’s planned PCT thru-hike collapsed due to visa obstacles; he invested his savings directly into GramXpert instead. Today they produce 100% made-to-order gear from their Slovenian workshop, shipping across Europe and beyond.

Inspiring Story

The eLite quilt didn’t start on a whiteboard — it started on a trail where Kajo was cold in gear that should have kept him warm. The solution wasn’t to buy better; it was to make better. Every prototype was field-tested before becoming a product, and every customer order since has been individually consulted — fabric weight, insulation loft, zip length, body dimensions. When the outdoor community in the German Ultraleicht Trekking Forum discovered GramXpert, word spread fast: here was a Slovenian cottage brand building gear as precise as German engineering, at a human scale.
