Most “sustainable” fashion brands place ethics in the footnotes. Trendsplant puts it in the headline — and backs it up with B Corp certification, organic cotton, and factories visited at least twice a year. This is a Spanish brand that started small in 2009 and grew into one of Europe’s most credible voices for responsible casualwear.

Brand Intro

Trendsplant was founded in 2009 in Alicante, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. The brand makes casual lifestyle clothing — sweatshirts, T-shirts, parkas, denim, and accessories — using organic cotton, recycled materials, and natural fibres such as linen and hemp. Production is concentrated in Spain and Portugal, with 95% of the catalogue rooted in Iberian craftsmanship. Their philosophy: fashion that is honest to both the people who make it and the people who wear it.

Inspiring Story

Trendsplant chose the elephant as its mascot for a reason: strong, robust, and long-lasting. That same logic guides every product decision. When supply chain disruptions hit the global fashion industry, Trendsplant responded not by cutting corners but by concentrating production days and improving traceability — partnering with Retraced so that every material can be traced back to its source. The path to B Corp certification, achieved in November 2021, took a full year of work. It was not a marketing move — it was a validation of a way of working that had been in place since the beginning. Patagonia’s Yvon Chouinard is cited openly as a source of inspiration.

Who is this for?

You care how your clothes are made — but you don’t want to look like you’re making a statement. You wear sweatshirts, tees, and parkas daily and want pieces that hold up across seasons without being replaced every year. You’re sceptical of greenwashing and look for hard evidence: certifications, supply chain transparency, real fabric content. You appreciate that casual can also be considered.
