Most cooler boxes are designed to be thrown away — and they are, usually after one cracked handle or a broken latch. CAGOON engineered theirs to survive a decade of daily use, from the bike lane to the mountain trail to the beach. At 1.3 kg with 32 litres of volume and a load capacity of over 80 kg, this is not just camping gear: it is a permanent fixture of a more considered everyday life.

On the bike

The AEROSTUFFY mounts on almost any bicycle — and CAGOON offers two distinct systems to make that work, whatever rack you already have.

The first is the Racktime Snapit 2.0: the box clicks onto a compatible rack with a single movement and locks audibly into place — no straps, no fumbling. It works front and rear, and CAGOON supplies an optional Snapit 2.0 adapter bundle for cyclists who don’t yet have a compatible rack.

The second is the PORTER — a dedicated rack adapter, 100% Made in Germany, that fixes the AEROSTUFFY M securely onto any standard bike carrier in seconds via a MIK-CARRIER mount. At 1.2 kg and fully recyclable with replaceable spare parts, it fits the same philosophy as the box itself: built to last, not to be replaced. The PORTER carries loads up to 15 kg — and isn’t limited to the AEROSTUFFY: crates, bags, tools, or bulky loads all fit, making your bike a genuine everyday transport solution.

Brand Intro

CAGOON was founded by Johannes and Inga Ebert, outdoor enthusiasts and parents of three, at their base in Prutting near Rosenheim, Upper Bavaria. The company designs and manufactures ultralight, insulating Performance ThermoBoxes — 100% in Germany, 100% repairable, with a circular economy philosophy baked into every component. Their AEROSTUFFY line launched in 2024, followed by a dedicated bike variant in 2025. Every product ships with a lifetime spare parts guarantee and a free take-back programme at end of life.

Inspiring Story

The idea for CAGOON was born at a recycling centre in 2022. Johannes watched crate after crate of discarded plastic boxes being dropped off — not worn out through years of use, but broken after a single season: cracked handles, failed hinges, snapped latches. Products that hadn’t aged out — they had simply been designed to fail.

Two years of development followed. The answer had to be ultralight, insulating, shock-absorbent, food-safe, beautiful enough for the daily shop, and fully repairable. In 2024, the AEROSTUFFY was born. In 2025, the AEROSTUFFY BIKE followed — purpose-built for cyclists. Along the way, CAGOON earned 2nd place at the Gründerpreis Rosenheim 2023 and reached the finals of the Bundespreis Ecodesign, Germany’s federal award for outstanding sustainable product design. Not bad for a company that started at a waste disposal site.

Who is this for?

You’ve bought a cooler box before — and replaced it a year later when the handle snapped or the lid warped. You’re done with that cycle. You want something you can take to the Saturday market, pack into the car for a weekend away, and trust completely on a hot summer day. You care about where things are made and how long they last. And when you read that a product was born out of genuine frustration with throwaway design — rather than out of a marketing brief — that matters to you. CAGOON is for people who buy once, buy well, and want to know the story behind what they own.
